Jaideep Ahlawat recalls media misquoting him during Vishwaroopam 2 promotions

During the chat, we asked Jaideep his thoughts on media misquoting statements. Talking about it he recalled, “I remember doing Vishwaroopam with Kamal Haasan and its sequel was coming. And there was tis press conference in Mumbai where I was present but Kamal sir was not there. At that time I didn’t what to say and how to talk. So, I remember somebody asking me ‘Vishwaroopam 2 me kya naya dekhne milega?’ (What can we expect from the film).”

He further shares, “I wondered mai inko kya kahu kyuki jyada kuch keh nahi sakta tha. Toh maine kaha ki aisa kuch batane layak nahi hai, 1st part ka sequel hai toh kahaani aage badhti hai aur naye kirdaar judenge. Uski headline bani ki jaideep ahlawat keh rahe hai ki Vishwaroopam 2 mai kuch aisa nahi hai jo dekhne layak ho. And I was like ye kab hua. (I was thinking about what to answer as I could not reveal many details. So I went on to share that there is nothing much to tell. I added how it’s a sequel with the storyline moving forward and new actors joining the cast. The headline out of the context was, ‘Jaideep Ahlawat claims that there is nothing worth watching in Vishwaroopam 2).”

Adding to it, his ‘The Broken News’ co-star, Sonali Bendre, shared, “I have a dark sense of humour and it took a while for people to understand this. So even if I said something in a funny way it was taken seriously. And since things were not taken in the right spirit, it just sounded bad. So I had curbed not my enthusiasm but sense of humour.”
